I have just spent a week in Central Vietnam during the great annual Tet migration. This was my second Tet at this location and I once again visited the local market, which is one of the friendliest that I have encountered in Vietnam. As the only foreigner in a town of 200,000 people, where the market is the focal point (no pun intended) of activity, particularly in the lead up to Tet, I once again discovered how Hollywood celebrities must feel. I was mobbed almost everywhere I went and appeared in many group photos with the local people. I had shot the market pretty extensively last year so on my stroll through this year I concentrated on trying to capture individuals and groups of people in thoughtful or interesting situations.
